Two Food Waste Disposal Plants to Be Built in Shenyang of China This Year Producing Biodiesel and Biogas

Recently, Beijing adopted new initiatives to accelerate the construction of renewable resources recycling system. According to the new initiatives, up to year 2015, the processing of food service units dining kitchen waste oil recycling will be 100% standardized and regulated.

In fact, Shenyang City is also making step-by-step efforts to practice the related work, during the "12th Five-Year" period, the dining kitchen waste will be 100% recycled and treated in Shenyang.

This not only inhibit the source of "waste oil" but also means that the largest proportion of food waste resources in the garbage can be recycled.

The 2 food waste disposal plants located in Lao Hu-chong and Zhao Jia-gou could process 320 tons of food waste.

Shenyang City has been listed as one of the first batch of 33 dining kitchen waste recycling and safe disposal pilot cities. In order to find a fundamental solution to the food safety problems caused by the food kitchen waste including resources waste, and environmental pollution problems, Shenyang City has begun to establish the Kitchen waste management system covering the whole city, which could separate the dining kitchen waste and other garbage in the separate collection, unified shipping and handling process.

Last year Shenyang City government issued "Shenyang dining kitchen waste management program". Along with as the 2 treatment plants be started soon, the kitchen waste will be treated in the more stringent management of the collection, transportation, and disposal.
