Recently, the construction work of Biochemistry Bio-diesel plant project located in Hong Kong Tseung Kwan O commenced, marking the official start of the largest bio-diesel production project in Hong Kong.
The project includes the building structure, fuel tank installation, the tubing bridge, decoration, and underground drainage, road and exterior wall construction, etc. The project contract amounts to around $ 64.63 million, and is expected to be completed in December 2012.
The project is focused on producing bio-diesel from the recycled waste cooking oil and grease. It is the alternative of mineral diesel. Once the project goes into operation, 100,000 tons of bio-diesel will be produced annually.
