Trial Production Of The Largest Waste Incineration Power Plant In Asia Scheduled In October

Asia's largest waste incineration power plant located in the Mentougou trial production is expected for Trial Production in October this year, and the annual generation capacity is expected to be of over 300 million KWh. According to the National People's Congress member and Shougang Group Chairman Zhu Jimin, the plant will provide electricity and heating for 4 districts including Mentougou, Shijingshan, Fengtai and Haidian.

"Lu Jiashan" Project processes 3000 tons of garbage daily after completion

October 23, 2010, Lu Jiashan garbage classification incineration power project commenced. The project is located in the Shougang Lu Jiashan limestone mining area, covering about 190 acres of land for construction, invested by the Beijing Municipal Government and Beijing Shougang Biomass Energy Technology Co., Ltd. jointly. Is is mainly on waste reduction, utilization, harmlessness treatment, and environmental protection projects via renewable energy incineration power generation. After put into operation, the daily processing amount will be 3000 tons of garbage from the western part of Beijing.

The project has reached the international advanced level in the heating power generation, slag utilization and waste water discharge, waste heat power generation of 420 million degrees, equivalent to annual savings of 140,000 tons of standard coal. Generating capacity could be provided to the factory use, and the is rest sent to the grid. It could also provide heating to the surrounding residents according their demand.
