China Guangdong Nuclear Power And Duke Energy Signed MOU

China Guangdong Nuclear Power Group Corporation and Duke Energy Corporation signed a Memorandum of Understanding on March 8 in Beijing. Chairman of China Guangdong Nuclear Power Corporation He Yu, and chairman of Duke Energy Luo Jieyi attended the signing ceremony.

Both sides expressed their will for cooperation on investment in nuclear power, operations management experience, and other clean energy development fields.

Duke Energy is one of the largest energy companies and one of the three nuclear power operators in the United States. Luo Jieyi said on Tianjin Summer Davos Forum in 2010 that China had the most of the world's nuclear reactors under construction. China should accelerate the development of this uninterrupted clean energy with zero emissions.

In year 2011, Guangdong Nuclear Power Group's business covered nuclear energy supply and service fields, the nuclear power industry, renewable energy, new industries, etc. Its nuclear safety operations performance as a whole was included into the global top ten of the industry.
