China Is Stepping Up The Development Of Nuclear Safety Planning

National Development and Reform Committee Deputy Director and National Energy Bureau Chief Liu Tie-nan said on March 9 that China was stepping up efforts to develop the Nuclear safety planning and he himself was working overtime these days to "finish" the planning work so that it could be released earlier.

Liu Tienan did not disclose the schedule of the time and content.

At the same time, Liu Tienan also said that it was difficult to achieve the goal of "total energy consumption within 4.1 billion tons of coal" by the end of the 12th five year period. It is necessary to make efforts in energy conservation, energy efficiency, and many other aspects, so as to reach the goal.

Vice Minister of Environmental Protection Ministry and Chief of the National Nuclear Safety Administration, Li Gan-jie, revealed recently that the Ministry of Environmental Protection is actively pushing forward the formulation of China's Nuclear Safety Act, and they're making efforts to release and implement the act during the 12th five year period.
