On March 5, the first 30 MW high-temperature ultra-high pressure biomass generator set of China was put into operation in the Sihe industrial park in Green water town, Laifeng County.
It is reported that the generator set "eats" 800 tons of agricultural straw and forestry waste daily, power generation capacity is of 648,000 kwh, the total output value 486,000 yuan.
The generator set "72 +24" trial run was started and got connected to the grid at 2:39 p.m. on February 22. In the 72 hour trial run, the generating capacity reached 1.968 million kwh, the loading rate was 91.1%, which achieved the assessment standards and requirements of the trial run.
In the next 24 hours, the power plant equipment was put into the system, the three host machines ran smoothly with new generating capacity of 66.4 million KWh, the loading rate was 92.2%. The generator set has been operating normally for more than 10 days after put into operation.
It is said that Laifeng County is among the first batch of pilot counties of biomass energy construction in Hubei Province set up by Kaidi Electric Power. Currently, the county has a total circulation of more than 30 million mu of land for the development of tung oil tree, acacia and other biomass energy forests.
