Hunan Academy of Forestry of China Produced Bio-diesel From Castor Oil

It is learned today in Hunan Academy of Forestry Experimental Forest Farm of biological liquid fuel industrialization demonstration base located in South Changsha, with an annual output of 3000 tons of biodiesel in testing is running smoothly, and the raw material is castor oil neglected for many years.

 A new energy enterprise with an annual output of 30000 tons of bio-diesel will also be established in Xiangtan Industrial Park. This is the remarkable results achieved by the "south of castor new variety breeding and oil utilization technique" which just won the first prize of the provincial scientific and technological progress.

According to Project Leader and Researcher Li Chang Zhu, the castor-oil plant is expected to develop into one of the province and the country's strategic emerging industries.
As of today, over 10 kinds of bio-diesel, castor oil and high-grade lubricants products have been produced in line with the national standards.
