The First Food Waste Treatment Plant in Suining City of Sichuan Province of China Will Be Put Into Use

100 tons of food waste will be treated per day, so as to prevent hogwash oil from the source.

The First Food Waste Treatment Plant -- Ming Cheng food waste treatment plant in Suining City, Sichuan will be put into use in mid-March, to prevent the hogwash flow back to table from the source. The food waste treatment plant is located in Tang Chun Village of Fu Qiao Town in Chuan Shan District. At present, the plant construction work is completed, and commissioning of part of the facilities and equipment is completed, the construction of supporting facilities is ongoing. According to chairman of Ming Cheng Ecological Agriculture Co., Ltd., Liang Dui-cheng, when the food waste treatment plant is put into operation, more than 100 tons of food waste will be processed; after scale expansion, the daily processing of food waste can reach the more than 300 tons.

More than 200 tons of food waste is produced

According to Huang Jin, vice director of the Municipal Food and Drug Administration, there are more than 5700 food waste service units in the city's three counties and two districts. It is learned that the food waste produced by most of the food service units in the city is collected by pig raisers to feed livestocks, while the restaurants can gain profit through the selling of food waste.                                                                                 

It is understood that the city has not released food waste management measures, since the supervision of the food waste collection, transportation, utilization involves many departments including environment, sanitation, urban management, health, food and drug administration, which directly led to many irregularities in food waste collection, transportation, utilization.

Put into operation in mid-March, 100 tons of food waste will be treated per day

With a total investment of 26 million yuan and 86 acres of leasehold land, the plant will treat 100 tons of food waste per day; after the plant expansion, the daily processing capacity will reach more than 300 tons.

Specially designed vehicle will be in place,Automatic grease separation Technology

Food waste collection vehicles are the special vehicles customized by the company, 2 were purchased from Beijing previously. The vehicle can automatically carry out the separation of grease and food waste, and each truck can treat 5-8 tons of food waste. After separating grease from food waste, the grease will automatically enter a special water tank. Recycled grease will be sold to a legitimate grease recycling enterprises for industrial use.

In addition, the vehicle can realize sealed transportation to ensure that the food waste doesn't produce odor, does not affect the surrounding environment, and that no food waste is thrown out of the vehicle.

Food waste treatment plant not only can prevent "hogwash" from the source and avoid the "hogwash" to flow back to table, but also can transform the waste into organic fertilizer or livestock feedstuff, etc.
